How Scoop Works

Scoop delivers a personalized daily news briefing based on the topics you choose. Each briefing includes up to 10 stories with AI-generated summaries and links to original sources.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I change my topics?

Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of your feed, then select "Topics You Follow." You can add new topics or remove existing ones.

How often does my feed update?

Your feed refreshes automatically approximately every 12 hours. You can also add a new topic to trigger a refresh with fresh content for that topic.

Why don't I see local news?

Local news requires location permission. If you denied it during setup, go to iOS Settings > Scoop > Location and set it to "While Using the App."

Can I block specific news sources?

Yes. Go to the gear icon > Topics You Follow, then scroll down to the "Blocked Sources" section to add sources you want to exclude.

Why are some stories missing images?

Images are pulled from the original news articles. If a source doesn't provide a preview image, the story will appear without one.

Is my data private?

Scoop doesn't require a login and doesn't collect personal information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
